What is Dry Eye Syndrome?

Dry Eye Syndrome is when your eyes do not produce enough tears, or the tears are of a poor quality, to lubricate them. Tears are essential in maintaining the surface of your eye and providing clear vision. Symptoms include itchiness, blurry vision or a feeling of grittiness in your eyes.

Age, gender, medication, certain medical conditions and environmental factors have been linked to Dry Eye Syndrome.

How To Treat Dry Eyes

Dry Eye Syndrome can be a chronic condition, but we can diagnose and prescribe treatment to help alleviate your symptoms, keep your eyes healthy and protect your vision.

There are things you can do at home to help soothe your symptoms such as remembering to blink regularly, keeping hydrated, taking screen breaks and wearing sunglasses when outside.
