WHAT IS DIABETIC SCREENING?
Diabetic screening is an eye exam which allows finding eye conditions caused by diabetes. It can detect any eye diseases caused by diabetes. If diabetic retinopathy is allowed to develop it can cause blindness.
SHOULD I HAVE A DIABETIC EYE SCREENING?
People with diabetes are eligible for an annual eye examination covered by the NHS. Diabetic eye screenings are arranged via your GP and carried out at our optician. If you haven't received an appointment contact your GP and ask for screening retinopathy.
