What is Diabetic Screening?
Diabetic screening is an eye exam which allows finding eye conditions caused by diabetes. It can detect any eye diseases caused by diabetes. If diabetic retinopathy is allowed to develop it can cause blindness.
Should I get Checked for Diabetes?
When you're over 12 years old and have diabetes, take an eye exam once a year which is provided by NHS. If you didn't receive an invitation contact your GP and ask for screening retinopathy.
